Settle into a cabaret-inspired lounge atmosphere filled with thoughtful stories, playful energy and an experience created for curious, open-minded adults.

Our readers are taking us on a literary adventure through some of their favourite sapphic stories, bringing the laughs, the gasps and more than a few tantalizing words along the way.

Expect playful storytelling, delicious tension and readings designed to let your imagination wander somewhere wonderfully unexpected.
Grab your safari hat and prepare to explore. This adventure may get a little wild.
Live Literature Readings
Enjoy featured live readings presented by performers in the buff. The focus is on the words, the presence and the unmistakable energy that comes from sharing stories in an intimate room.
Cabaret-Inspired Lounge
Expect a warm, welcoming lounge atmosphere shaped by literary curiosity, playful performance and the freedom to experience something outside the ordinary.
Body-Positive by Design
Books in the Buff is a consent-forward, body-positive event celebrating expression in all its forms. Personal boundaries, performer autonomy and mutual respect are central to the experience.
